Reason why I choose to open a culinary business is because food is a primer need in human's life. People can't live without food. So, I was trying to sell something that people need everyday not what they want.
I'd sell an Indonesian food or Mexican food. I know nothing about Mexican food except for Burrito, Taco and Guacamole, but you know, i could learn. Furthermore, Mexican food is very hard to find in Indonesia
Indonesian people loves spicy food. Indonesian and Mexican food is kind of similar, both of them are very famous for the spicy and the savory.
Before opening a restaurant, I think starting from a Food Truck is amazing. I know it's kinda rare to see a Food Truck running around here; in Indonesia, but you have to have an unique ideas to start a business. Besides, Food Truck is less expensive than buying a place or rent it. You also can travel to promote your business. Then, If people already knew about your business, I'd buy a place to open a restaurant. The more crowded the neighborhood, the better.
The price has to be reasonable for students, as well :)
