Hometown

I was born in East Jakarta, but I moved to South Jakarta for 7 years then I moved again to Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta and lived there up until now. My definition of hometown is a place where you grew up and cherished good memories. So, I think Kelapa Gading is my hometown. I wish live here for the rest of my life but I couldn't because I have to move again to Medan and it's making me sad.

Kelapa Gading is well known as a commercial-industry. There are many parks, malls, restaurants, bars, karaokes and schools in Kelapa Gading. Another thing which is very special about Kelapa Gading is its food industry, there are many different restaurant which are offering different kinds of food. Kelapa Gading contains five shopping malls. Some of these malls are Mall Kelapa Gading, La Piazza, Mall Artha Gading, Kelapa Gading Trade Center, and Mall of Indonesia. Despite being a well-developed area, Kelapa Gading is affected by flood every rainy season due it's geographically low plain characteristic.

I have been to many cities in Jakarta, but still I regard Kelapa Gading to be the most beautiful city because it's a place where I grew up and there's so many beautiful memories there even though Kelapa Gading still has a lot of flaws.
